GEOGRAPHIC FARMING

A real estate farming map for the properties you follow.

Geographic farming means focusing your prospecting on one neighborhood so owners get to know you. My Estate Map helps by showing the properties and prospects you follow on a map, with their status and your notes, so you see your farm area at a glance.

IN PRACTICE

How do you map your farm area?

01

See your farm area

Every property you follow in the neighborhood, on one map.

02

Track your prospects

Statuses show who’s a prospect, who’s listed and who has sold.

03

Remember every conversation

Your notes stay in each property file, ready for the next contact.

YOUR FARM AREA ON A MAP

Track the neighborhood you farm, property by property.

Add the properties you follow in your farm area: current listings, homes you’ve valued, owners you’ve met. Give each one a status, such as prospect or for sale, and add your notes after every conversation.

On the map, your farm area takes shape. You see which streets you already know well and where your prospects are concentrated. Tap any property to open its file and reread where you left off with the owner.

Before a door-knocking session or an open house in the neighborhood, filter your prospects and plan who to see. After the session, add a note to each file so your follow-up stays consistent over the months.

Be clear about what the map shows: only the properties you add or import yourself. My Estate Map doesn’t provide public owner data, seller leads or mailing lists.

KEY POINTS

  • Properties and prospects you add or import
  • Color-coded status markers
  • Notes and owner details in every file
  • No public data or lead lists

GOOD TO KNOW

Three ways to use the map for farming.

Plan a door-knocking session

Filter your prospects, look at where they are on the map and decide which streets to cover today.

Follow up consistently

After each visit, add a note to the property file. Months later, you know exactly what you discussed with each owner.

Measure your presence

Over time, the map shows how many properties you follow in your farm area and where you still have room to grow.

STEP BY STEP

Your farming routine in four steps.

01Add

The properties you follow in the area.

02Tag

A status for each one.

03Visit

Plan your session from the map.

04Note

Update each file after the visit.

It’s a prospecting approach where an agent focuses on one neighborhood or area over time, so local owners recognize them when it’s time to sell.
